Effie E was born about 1863 in Mt Pleasant Twp., Green, Wisconsin, and married 11 September 1883, George MaGEE, the son of George MaGEE Sr. and Lucy Cecilia EGGLESTON. HE was born June 1862, in Green County Wisconsin, and deid 10 feb 1948 in Evansville, Rock, Wisconsin. Effie died 19 Apr 1941.

"He was a resident of Evansville for more than 55 years, owner of the old Magee Opera House, which was later used as a motion picture theatre, also a printer and for 24 years a rural mail carrier. He died Feb. 10, 1948. Buried Maple Hill Cemetery (presume that's where Effie is buried, too). He was born June 29, 1863 in town of Exeter, west of Evansville. Grew to manhood in that community and on Sept. 11, 1883 married Effie Marshall of Monticello. Until 1893, they lived on a farm near the city. In that year Mr. Magee joined William Lawton in a printing business in Evansville and later became a partner of R.M. Antes. In 1903 Mr. Antes purchased Mr. Magee's share in the printing business and set up the Antes Press. In partnership with A. M. Van Wormer, Mr. Magee entered the insurance and real estate business before engaging in the theatre business. The Magee theatre, which still stands on East Main Street, was opened first as an "opera house" and later as a silent picture theatre. Before it was closed, it had begun showing talking pictures. In addition to his other activities, Mr. Magee made rural mail deliveries until retiringing 1930. He was a member of the Masonic order for 58 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stella Lynch, at home; a son, Glenn Magee, Janesville; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Magee died April 19, 1941."
The newspaper clipping of a celebration of George and Effie's 51st wedding anniversary (Evansville Review - September 13, 1934) states their marriage was performed by Mrs. Magee's brother, Rev. A. J. Marshall, It also mentions their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D.J.Lynch of Chicago had attended.
According to the Social Security Death Index for both children below their last place of residence was Footville, Rock, Wisconsin. and the place the benefits were sent for Glenn was Evansville, Rock, Wisconsin.
