You have already corrected, in a subsequent message, the fact of Henry being the progenitor of the American family named Kilham/Killam, of which he was not. That distinction belonging to Austin Kilham, his son. Henry Kilham was born in Bury St. Edmonds, St. James Parish, Suffolk, England Abt. 1555; m. Alice Goodale 12 August 1582 in Dennington, Suffolk, England; d. 27 May 1631 in Denington, Suffolk, England. Henry's will (noncupative)can be found on pages 1403-1405 in a book entitled "Genealogical Gleanings In England", by Henry Waters. You will also find his mother in laws' will, Elizabeth Goodale, on the same pages. For your records, Henry was the son of William Kilham, b. Abt. 1530 in Bury St. Edmonds, St. James Parish, Suffolk, England; m. Clements ? Abt. 1555 in Bury St. Edmonds, St. James Parish, Suffolk, England; She was born Abt. 1532 in Bury St. Edmonds, St. James Parish, Sufflok, England and died after 1586 in Bury St. Edmonds, St. James Parish, Suffolk, England.
I am assuming you are a descendant of Lot Kilham, son of Austin Kilham. Lot was born in Dedham, Massachusetts 11 September 1640, moved with his family to Wenham, Massachusetts; married Hannah Goodale 22 May 1666, removed to Enfield, Connecticut, where he had the distinction of being the first resident of that town to die there on 26 October 1683. He was the recipient of a land grant in Enfield, Connecticut, but this land grant came under question upon his death. He had not made any improvements on the land and as by agreement of the grant his family was not entitled to keep the land in his estate. By a special vote, the town fathers did convey the land to his son James. There is a detailed account of this history to be found in the "History of Enfield". You might want to correct your records as to where Enfield is located. It has always been and is a part of Connecticut, in Hartford County, Connecticut, and not Massachusetts.
You have obviously done quite a bit of research. If there are any further question regarding the Kilham family which I might be able to help you with, please contact me directly at the included e-mail address.
