Name both Stephen Andrews and Stephen Andrus on records in Glastonbury, CT. Came from Poke Hill Ferry near Wethersfield Folly. His farm was previously owned by Chauncey Andrews in Eastern parts of town. Gave a quit-claim deed of his interest in his father's estate to his brother John in 1713. Owned 110 acres of land in Glastonbury in 1716. Land records in 1723 (47 acres next to Hebron). First located at South Glastonbury, called Shingle Hollow then moved in 1724 to Nipsie or East Glastonbury. Taught school in East Glastonbury in 1742. School teacher in 1745. Commons land set to im in 1757. First clerk of Eastbury school society from 1731 to 1743.
