The Myrtle Street Cemetery is practically an abandoned cemetery, though the town, which now keeps it presentable, sell lots in the front unused portion to the Negro population of the village who find it an economical place to bury their relatives. Many removals have been made to the Machpelah Cemetery; so many pioneers who were formerly buried here must now be sought at the newer cemetery.
