Marshfield was born 11 March 1798 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut and married, 15 December 1825, Le Roy, Genesee, New York, Elizabeth KEENEY, the daughter of Joseph KEENEY and Mary BISHOP. She was born 3 November 1806, in Le Roy, Genesee, New York. and died 1889 in Le Roy. Marshfield died 1881 in Le Roy.

Note [Mary BISHOP (Marshfield's mother-in-law) was the sister of Giles BISHOP Sr. who married Phebe WAITE Marshfield's aunt.]
