Earl was born 6 February 1921 in Kendall, Vab Buren, Michigan, and married 27 May 1943 Alice Jean ODELL. She was born and died. Earl died 24 October 2002 in Lake View Community Hospital, Paw Paw, Van Buren, Michigan.

Passed away Thursday, October 24, 2002 at Lake View Community Hospital, Paw Paw. Mr. Westcott was born February 6, 1921 to Morton and Anna Westcott on their farm south of Kendall, near the area where he has always lived. Earl graduated from Gobles High School in 1939 and entered the Army Air Corps in July 1942. He married Alice Jean Odell on May 27, 1943 before leaving for service overseas. Following the low-level mission "Tidal Wave" over the Ploesti oil fields, he was a P.O.W. for 13 months in Rumania. Earl was a member of the Kendall United Methodist Church, a life member of the VFW, and a 55 year member of Local 131 IBEW.
Surviving are his wife, Jean; 2 children, James Allen (Ruth) Westcott of Almena, Pamela Sue Westcott of Kendall; 4 grandchildren, Susan Kaye (Chris) Best of Dearborn Heights, Shari Lynn (Joel) Smith of Kalamazoo, Cindy Jean Westcott of Kalamazoo, Daniel Earl Westcott of Raleigh, NC; and 1 brother, Mort (Luella) Westcott of Kendall.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Earl; and 3 brothers, Robert, John and George Westcott. The family will meet friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Kendall UMC with Rev. Susan D. Olsen officiating. Following the services cremation will take place. The family suggest memorials to the Kendall UMC.
