Mary J. was born 28 October 1830 in Vernon, Oneida, New York, and came to Washtenaw county, Michigan with her parents about 1844-1845. She married 15 Jan 1850 in Lenawee county, Michigan Daniel MARLATT, the son of Mark MARLATT and Dorothy FRANK. He was born, 24 April 1824, Mendon, Monroe, New York, He married first Sally DANIELS, who died in child birth in 1848 and married Mary as his second wife. She died 11 Dec 1918 Cambridge Twp, Lenawee, Michigan.
Mark MARLATT ws an early settler of Mendon from Florida, Orange, New York, born 1784 the son of Michael MARLOTT and Margrie FREDERICK, Michael was an early settler of Boughton Hill, Monroe, New York, and was from Boyle. He also fought in Frederick FISHER's third regiment Tyron County. (Now Montgomery County). Records also indicate that Michael lived in Mohawk, Montgomery, New York. Mark MARLATT died in 1866 and is buried Mendon Twp., on Boughton Hill road. He had married Dorothy FRANK at Florida, Orange county in 1810. She was born 1789 and died in 1861.
