Martha C. was born June 1833 Barre, Orleans, New York. She married 1849/50 Charles M. LEE, the son of Wilson LEE Sr. and Mary LEREW, who were of Irish descent but lived in the state of New York. In the 1850 census Charles and Martha are living with her brother-in-law Wilson LEE Jr., and the two brothers own the farm they are on jointly, in Columbia Twp., Jackson county, Michigan. Charles sold his portion of the farm to his brother Wilson 18 September 1851 just before Wilson married Helen T. CHARLES 26 November 1851. This farm was adjacent to the one owned by Bliss CHARLES, Wilson LEE's father-in-law.
Charles M. Lee died 11 September 1874 Casco Twp., Allegan, Michigan, and Martha married 3 June 1883 in Bangor, Van Buren, Michigan, Edgar A Smith Martha age 50 Edgar age 51. Edgar died before 1900. She died after 1900 a widow.
