Johann Henrich LAUX was born about 1689, some place in Europe, and since the church books of Paster Hager and others who serviced the Schoharie -- Mohawk region are missing sorting out all the LAUXES in the area is extremely difficult. He was naturalized 3 January 1715/1716 at Albany, Albany, New York. Henrich LAUX and his wife Anna Margretha with two children were at Neu-Heessberg about 1716/1717. The name Henrich survives prominently in the offspring of the children of Johann Henrich LAUX. It is also obvious that Johann Henrich LAUX was a relative of some kind of Johann Jost and Johann Dieterich LAUX. However, sponcers between the Johan Henrich's family and the others are almost nonexistant, illustrating thge somewhat seperate identity of Johan Henrich's group.
