Married at the residence of the bride's parents, M/M I. L. OSBORN, near Dodge Center, at 3 pm Aug. 13, 1902, by Rev. H. H. Allen, Mr. Clarence K. TAINTER, of Homer, MN., & Miss Effie M. OSBORN. The bride was very tastily attired in a gown of white mousselin de soie, wearing white chrysanthemums & carrying a bouquet of the same. After the ceremony & congratulations, the quests were served with a dainty wedding lunch.

The presents were many & appropriate & the guests too numerous to mention. All enjoyed the festivities. The bride is one of Dodge county's promising young women. A successful teacher, & earnest christian worker, & a charming companion. She will be much missed from the home & this community, but we bespeak for her a warm place in the esteem of the community in which she is going. The groom is a farmer of Winona county & a young man of sterling qualities. We wish the young people were to become resident here. All unite in wishing them a long & happy married life.

Mrs. Clarence K. Tainter

Effie Mable Osborn was born Mar. 20, 1881, on a farm near West Concord & died in Rochester July 9, 1918. When about 1 yr. old she, with her parents, moved to Kranzburg, SD. After living there 2 yr. they returned to Dodge Co., where she resided until her marriage, Aug. 13, 1902, to Clarence Tainter. The new home was established in Winona Co. To this union were born 3 children, 2 of whom died in infancy.

In 1905 they came back to Dodge Co., where they have continued to reside.

When 17 yr. old she was baptized & joined the Baptist church at Wasioja, of which she was a member until death. Mrs. Tainter was a consecrated spiritually minded Christian woman whose life of devotion & cheerful disposition made her a welcome & lovable companion for the young & an esteemed friend of the old.

She was constantly thoughtful of the comfort & welfare of others & lived her life in accordance with her spirit & teaching of her Lord, whom she loved as one indeed who served. She will be sorely missed by the people of the Methodist church, in which, while not a formal member, she faithfully worked for many yr. Her work as a teacher of a large class of girls will long after & prove the truth of words. "Tho she be dead yet she speaketh."

Besides a large circle of friends she leaves to mourn her loss, the husband, daughter Ruth Clarice, an infant daughter, 3 sisters, Mrs. Floyd Parker, of Siren, WI., Mrs. B. T. Severance, of Dodge Center, Mrs. Earl Mason of Sentinel Butte, ND., 2 brothers, George I. Osborn of Dodge Center & John, a soldier somewhere on his way to France, & many more distant relatives.

The funeral services was held in the Methodist church, conducted by Pastor Rev. Everett Hall, assisted by the Rev. H. C. Van Horn.

The church was beautifully decorated by her Sunday school class & flowers were sent by the Sunday School, her class of girls, the boys class of whom, Mr. Tainter is teacher, the Y. P. society, the Ladies Aid & relatives & friends.

The number who attended the service was a testimony of the influence of her life & a profound mark of sympathy with the bereft. The interment took place at Riverside.
