There is conflicting information as to whether Burton's middle name is Thompson or Thomas.
Burton & Anna Lived in Dodge Center until moving to Rock Co, WI in 1920. They resided in Milton, WI. until their death. They had 10 children.Burton's mother Elnora Mills remarried after the death of Thompson Burton Severance. Burton had half brothers & sisters.
Bert would have been born after his father's death.
Lorna born 4-13-1899, was a daughter of Bert Severance.
Mable Severance, born 1880 married O. Deforest Crandell who was born 1875 in Ill. They were living with Burton in 1820.
Twin sons were born & died early. Names unkown.

M/M Campbell of Kasson, & M/M W. Randall of West Concord, were in town Wednesday to attend the funeral of Luvern Severance. The ladies are aunt's of Mrs. Severance.
M/M Ross Howe, of New Hampton, Iowa came Friday called here by the serious illness of the lady's brother, Luvern Severance.
B.T. Severance moved his family back to this place from Milton, WI., last week & now lives on the Hodge farm 2 miles southwest of town.
Note: They were only running the farm for the summer, they went back to Milton in Aug.

Golden Anniversary at Milton - M/M B. T. Severance, Milton residents for the past 25 yr. will be guest of honor at an open house from 2-5 P.M. Sun. at the home of here son-in-law & daughter, M/M Stanley Fox, 656 College St., Milton. The celebration is in honor of the golden wedding anniversary of the couple, which is Tue.
Anna Osborn & B. T. Severance were married at Dodge Center, MN Feb. 12, 1896. Mr. Severance is a retired employee of the Burdick Corp. Both M/M Severance are active members of the Odd Fellows. The have 2 daughters, Mrs. Lorna Howe, Irving, & Graydon of Milton. & Lt. Howard Severance, with the army in NY. Of their 12 grandchildren, several have been in the military service during the war & are now discharged. One, Dean Fox, is with the navy at Pearl Harbor, T. H. They also have 4 great grandchildren.
Both Mr. Severance, who is 73, & Mrs. Severance, who is 69, are active in their daily lives.

Burton Thompson Severance, the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Severance, was born January 21, 1873, at Dodge Center, Minnesota, and died at his Milton home on July 5, 1946, after a lingering illness. On February 12, 1896, Burton Severance was married to Anna M. Osborn in Dodge Center and in this place the two made their home and raised their family until they moved to Milton in 1920. Mr. Severance was a workman worthy of his hire. In his early years he engaged in farming in Minnesota and after coming to Milton was employed, until his health forced his retirement, by the Burdick Corporation in Milton. Mr. Severance was a good neighbor and a valued friend. For nearly forty years he was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge whose members held him in high esteem. Mr. Severance was a sincere Christian and a devoted churchman. He was baptized and received into the membership of the Dodge Center Seventh Day Baptist Church, which church he served faithfully as acting deacon and treasurer. After coming to Milton he transferred his church membership to the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church and has been a loyal member here, together with his wife, through the years. Mr. Severance was a faithful and loving husband and father. It can be truly said that his whole life centered in his home and family. Those close to him who survive are: his wife, four sons, Lyal B. Severance of Janesville, Irving and Graydon Severance of Milton, and Lt. Howard Severance, now on terminal leave from the U. S. Army; two daughters, Mrs. Lorna Howe and Mrs. Belva Fox of Milton; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Severance, Mt. Carroll, Illinois, and Frank B. Severance, Dodge Center, Minnesota; a half brother, Harry Sanford of California; and two half sisters, Mrs. Mabel Crandall, Hammond, Louisiana, and Mrs. Lela Coalwell, New Orleans, Louisiana. Rev. Rolland J. Severance preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Mr. Severance were held at the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church, Monday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. Elmo F. Randolph delivering the sermon. Pallbearers were: Guy Polan, Lou Loofboro, Lou Babcock, Archie Hurley, Clark Todd, Henry Ochs. Burial took place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville, Wis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Margaret Severance, who had been confined to her bed for the past 11 months, were held Friday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. from the Phelps funeral home and at 2:30 p.m. from the Milton Seventh Day Baptist church with burial in Milton Lawns Memorial Park cemetery, Janesville. The Rev. Elmo Fitz Randolph officiated.
Mrs. Anna Osborn Severance, 71, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stanley Fox, Milton, at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, after an illness of 2 1/2 years. Anna Osborn, the daughter of Irving and Augusta Osborn, was born Jan. 29, 1877, in Dodge Center, Minn., and married Burton T. Severance Feb. 12, 1896. Her husband passed away July 5, 1946. She was a member of the Milton Seventh Day Baptist church, the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and the King's Daughters. Two daughters and a son, died in infancy, and one son, died at the age of 11 in 1921. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lorna Howe and Mrs. Belva Fox, both of Milton; four sons, Lyal, Janesville, Howard, Elkhorn, Irving and Graydon, both of Milton; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ella Parker, Siren, Wis., and two brothers, George Osborn, Dodge Center, Minn., and Josh Osborn, Van Nuys, Calif.
