He was born 10 March 1817 in Swannahoa Twp., Buncombe, North Carolina or New Marion, Ripley, Indiana and died 24 July 1880 in the County Poor House in Wyocena, Columbia, Wisconsin. Eliza died before 1870 in Columbia County, Wisconsin.
