Claude Reese Isaacs, boy soprano, tenor, composer & teacher, was born at Johnstown, Pennsylvania, USA on 23 June 1901 and studied music as a child in Scranton, Pennsylvania. As a boy soprano he made concert tours of the eastern US and recorded two Edison Blue Amberol cylinders and a disc for Columbia (23 March 1917). It is said that the tenor Enrico Caruso praised him as the finest boy soprano he had ever heard.
Claude studied law at Syracuse University before moving to New York in 1922. With the Greenwich Village Follies he toured from New York to Florida. He was on the staff of CBS for 18 years as a tenor soloist and member of Lynn Murray's Clubmen Quartet. He also composed many popular songs, including "All Dressed Up With A Broken Heart" and "Give My Heart A Pat On The Back" under his professional name of Claude Reese.
Later he taught voice and was adviser to many singers. He died in New York on 11 September 1953, aged 52, after three years of illness.

A memorial service for Myrtle Reese, a 15-year Menlo Park resident, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, January 20, at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, located at 960 Santa Cruz Ave.
Mrs. Reese died of Alzheimer's Disease at Lytton Gardens in Palo Alto on January 8. She was 94.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, as one of three daughters, Mrs. Reese danced in touring New York productions as a prima ballerina, according to family members. She also worked as a salesperson in an apparel store. She moved from Berkeley to Menlo Park in order to be closer to her daughter, Marilyn Wong, a teacher at Laurel School.
Mrs. Reese is survived by her daughter Marilyn Wong and her husband Herbert; two grandchildren; and a nephew.The family prefers that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, 330 Distal Circle, Suite A, Los Altos, CA 94022; or to Rosener House, 1060 Middle Ave., Menlo Park CA 94025.
