She was born 17 September 1753 in Chester, Rockingham, New Hampshire, and died 22 April 1836 in Hull, Aylmer, Quebec, Canada. He died 10 December 1801, in Hull, Aylmer, Quebec, Canada.

On January 3, 1806, King George III granted to Philemon Wright and his associates one-fourth of the township of Hull, extending roughly speaking from the Township of Eardley to the Gatineau river. To Mr. Wright was granted an additional 1,200 acres "in consideration of his great exertions in the culture of hemp". The associates were: Luther Colten, Edmund Chamberlain, Ephraim Chamberlain, James McConnell, Harvey Parker, Isaac Remise, Philemon Wright Jr., Tiberius Wright and Daniel Wyman.

Hi Jan! Yes we do have a connection, but it is through marriage and is very complicated. There were two Chamberlin families that came to the Ottawa/Hull area in the early years. One family (yours) was Nathaniel and Mehetable (Elliott). The other was four brothers Thomas, Leonard, John and Josiah. I am a descendant of John and his wife, Mary Bloss.
Your ancestor, Louisa Abigail Aylwin married twice. First to Charles Lennox Brigham and second to Charles Waters Chamberlin. Charles Waters Chamberlin was the son of Josiah Chamberlin (brother to my ancestor) and Sophia Frost.
Sources you should check are: early census records for the Ottawa, Hull & Gatineau areas. The book "The Wrights" and "The Pritchards" by Patrick Evans. The first book will give you several more generations on both the Chamberlin and Aylwin families. These books are a must for anyone doing research on the early years in Hull. They are full of pedigree charts on the early families.

Looking for maiden name of Ephraim's mother who married Nathaniel Chamberlin in Quebec, Canada.

Harvey Parker was born 1770 somewhere in New England. He travelled (with Philomen Wright) to what is now Aylmer in Quebec. He married Azenath Chamberlin (daughter of Nathaniel and Mehetabel (Elliot)) in 1805. Their children were
Marietta, Timothy, Mary (Polly), Mehitabel, Emeline, Harvey, Ephraim & Harriat.
I have not been able to verify who his parents were and I can't find his grave. Several of his descendants are buried in Belleview Cemetary in Aylmer, but not Harvey. Harvey his son had a son Aurthur Augustus who returned to the U.S and I believe became a judge. Does anyone have any of these people on their family tree? Would appreciate hearing from you.
