Lowell was born 12 February 1793, in Caledonia County, Vermont and married about 1816 in Verona, Oneida, New York, Elizabeth LANNING. She was born about 1797 in New York.
Loel Chamberlin, was born in Vermont, February 12, 1793, and came to this State and county with his parents when a boy. He was educated in Clinton common schools, after which he engaged in farming. He married Elizabeth Lanning, of this town, by whom he had nine children: Samuel, Isaac W., Eliza, Meriba, three infants not named, George L., as above, and Rhoda. He was in the war of 1812. He died November 25, 1872, aged eighty years, and his wife May 20, 1884, aged eighty-eight years.
