Abiel, was born 22 November 1739, in Northfield, Fairfield, Massachusetts, and married about 1769 in Newbury, Orange County, Vermont, Eliner JOHNSON the daughter of Elihu and Sarah (_______) JOHNSON. She was born 17 February 1751, in Haddah, Middlesex, Massachusetts, and died 24 September 1820. He died 14 May 1787 in Newbury Orange, Vermont.

Note: Eliner is the sister of Sarah (JOHNSON) GATES who married Nicholas CHAMBERLIN nephew of Abiel and Eliner.

   Hampshire militia and signed the Association Test. He was
   born and died in Plaistow, N. H.
 
Richard CHAMBERLAIN (1714-84) was a minute man, 1775, from
   Newbury, Vermont, where he died. He was born in Oxford, Mass.

Abiel CHAMBERLAIN (1739-87) served, 1775-81, as private, sergeant,
   and lieutenant under command of Captains John G. BAILEY, Simeon
   STEVENS, and Col. Peter OLCOTT. He was born in Northfield, Mass.;
   died in Newbury, Vt.

Job KENT (1743-1837), in 1777, was sergeant and ensign in
   Capt. Hezekiah HUTC HINS' company of volunteers; joined
   the northern Continental army at Saratoga and, 1781, was
   on committee to enlist soldiers. He was born in Haverhill,
   Mass.; died in Hampstead, N. H.

Elihu JOHNSON served as sergeant in Capt. Thomas JOHNSON's
