John was born about 1770 in New Jersey, and married about 1790 in either Connecticut or New York, Ruth KNAPP, the daughter of Nehemiah KNAPP and Rebecca TREADWELL. Ruth was born about 1774 in Fairfield, Fairfield, Connecticut, and died in Niagara County, New York. John died 1831 in Lewiston, Niagara, New York.

This Indenture Made the twentieuth day of September in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred thirty two--   Between Ruth Taylor James Taylor Nehumiah Taylor John Taylor Richard Taylor Nathan Taylor William Cole and Ruth Taylor his Wife and Charlotte Taylor The said Ruth Taylor being the widow John Taylor deceased--   and the others except Cole being heirs at law of the deceased-----
and Alfred Hathaway and Olive his wife and Samuel Burton of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the by the parties of the second part the reciept whereof is hereby certified and acknowledged
Item bargained sold remanded and Duly Clamed and by these present do bargain sell remind and Quit Claim unto tbe said parties of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever All that piece of land designated as the south part of Lot Number Seven Township Fifteen n Range Ninth fifty nine chains seventy one links west by Lot Number Thirteen sixteen chains seventy six links North by a line paralell to the first mentioned boundry Fifty nine chains five links and east by lot Number One Sixteen chains and tweny six links Containing one hundred acres as the sum was consigned by the Holland Company by deed bearing date th 16th Day of December 1825 to the said deceased

Together with all and singular the herewith amenities & appertinances therewith belonging...

In Witness thereof the parrties of the first part have here in to set their hands and seals this day ??????????

On the Eleventh of February Eghteen hundred and thirty three appeared before me Richard Taylor
On the eighth day of March eighteen hundred thirty three appeared before me Ruth Taylor widow of John Taylor deceased and Electa Taylor wife of Richard Taylor
On the Twenty eighth day of March eighteen hundred thirty three appeared James Taylor and acknowledged that they had sumarily exicuted the matter Intestiment and the said Ruth Cole Polly Taylor and Electa Taylor on a private examination seperate from their said husbands acknowledged they they sumarlly exicuted the certain instrument eithout any ....
