Maud was born August 1872 in , , Wisconsin and married 1896 in Bayonne, Hudson, New Jersey, Leonard ETHERINGTON the son of Joseph ETHERINGTON (Baptist Missonary to India) and Ellen SYMONDS. He was born September 1871 in BEBARES, India and died. Maud died.
I would like to exchange info with you about this family. I don't have info on Joseph back (as you requested) but I have info from William Duke forward, including a (poor) photocopy of his marriage certificate to Ellen Symonds in Bebares in 1868. There he just lists his father's name as J. Etherington.

From this post I gather that the Grandmother of Leonard in the 1881 census Sarah SYMONDS is the mother of his mother Ellen SYMONDS and wife of the Joseph or J. ETHERINGTON listed in the above posting.
