Different family records show her as Mary Isabella or Isabell Mary.
The couple separated in about 1905.
Both Mary and Albert are buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, B.C.
Her Granddaughter, Donna PRIEBE, states that she, “adored my grandmother. It was she woh introduced me to the noys of the library. She loved fun, music, singing, Parades, flowers and pets.”
On 2 Dec 1891 when Mary Isabella was 27, she married Albert Barnes BETTES29, son of John Hiram BETTES (abt 1822-21 Jan 1910) & Esther PURDY (1829-), in Novar, Ontario, Canada. Born on 14 Nov 1863 in Cramey County, Ontario. Albert Barnes died in Vancouver, British Columbia, on 4 Sep 1944; he was 80.
Note he was born in Brighton, Northumberland County. [R.F.].
