He was born 7 November 1851, in Haldimand, Northumberland,Ontario, Canada, and died 1938 in Colborne, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada. She died 12 August 1923 in Colborne, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada. They are both burried in Union Cemetery, Colborne, Morthumbria, Ontario, Canada.

Simeon is listed in the 1842, 1848, 1850, 1861 and 1871 Canadian National Censuses for Ontario as living in Northumberland County, Haldimand Township, as a farmer and merchant. He purchased land in concession 5, lot 28, in 1846, and sold it in 1848 to his brother, George. In 1858, he purchased his father's property from his brother, George. The property passed to his wife and children, and was finally sold by his son, Stephen, in 1893. He is listed in the 1862, 1864, 1865, 1867, 1868 and 1869 Assessment Rolls as living in Cramahe and Haldimand Townships, owning 200 acres in concession A, lots 1 - 2. He was a member of the Northumberland County Militia reserves in 1865. He was a machinist and operated a foundry.
