Jesse was born 21 October 1783 in Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts and married about 1804 in , Berkshire, Massachusetts, Lucy PARKER, the daughter of Samuel PARKER and Lucy STEPHENS. She was born 1 August 1784 in Peru, Berkshire, Massachusetts and died 21 August 1825 Grafton, Lorain, Ohio. Jesse died 5 August 1825 in Grafton, Lorain, Ohio.

In November 1817 One more log house was built in Grafton, Lorain, Ohio, for Jesse TAYLOR, from Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts. He brings a family of five children: the oldest son Benjamin Franklin, twelve years old their oldest daughter, Sarah Aan, age ten, James, Jesse, and the baby Caroline. They moved in nearly three miles from any house then built, his lot was located; and, after a lonely stay of eighteen months in that place, we find them settled three-quarters of a mile south of the center. Jesse and Lucy TAYLOR both died in 1825; Jesse TAYLOR on the fifth of August, at the age of forty-one, and Lucy TAYLOR on the twenty first of August, at thirty-nine.
