Myndert was christened 3 November 1758 in Schenectady, Schenectady, New York and married about 1788 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Lincoln, Ontario, Canada, Catherine VanALSTYNE, the daughter of Harmanus Van ALSTYNE and Anna Catherina BESSINGER. She was christened 26 December 1770, in First Dutch Reformed Church, Albany, Albany New York.

Note:
BIRTH: He was called "Minor."

It appears that he was first given land at Niagara District, Ontario. He fought with Butler's Rangers. Myndert and his brother John fled to Canada about 1777, living in the town of Niagara in Upper Canada [later ontario]. Both fought with Butler's Rangers as United Empire Loyalists.

Mynderts's children were all born at Niagara, and all but John and Susannah are listed in Baptisms at Niagara by the Ontario Historical Society. (Mary, Catherine's twin, died young and was not on the baptismal list.) Catherine's petition of 1817 indicated her father was deceased.

"Read the Petition of Minor Bradt. Stating the Petitioner to be a discharged Soldier in Col. Butlers Regmt. praying for Lands for himself his wife the daughter of a loyalist and their children.
Ordered, 300 acres for himself,200 acres for his wife and 150 acres for his children.
