She wan born 15 November 1790 in Center, Guilford, North Carolina, and died 24 April 1854 in , Crawford, Illinois. Jesse died inbetween 10 March 1855 when he made his will and 19 March 1855 when his will was probated.

According to a letter from Robert Reynolds, Jesse Reynolds married Wilmett Lamb on 30 March 1809. No further proof has been found yet.
A will for Jeremiah Reynolds probated 1815, Randolph co, N.C. Book 4 leaves everything to Mary Lamb.

"Abel REYNOLDS, carpenter, West York, is a native of Randolph County, N. C., born January 4, 1812. His father, Jesse Reynolds, was a farmer, born in the year 1784 in North Carolina. He emigrated to Craword County, Il1 ., in 1820, and there died in 1850. His mother, Wilmety (Lamb) Reynolds , was born in North Carolina, in 1786, and died in Crawford County in 1848."

Deed dated 22 Nov 1834, Jesse Reynolds of Crawford Co, IL sells to Gideon Reynolds of Randoph Co, NC, for $15 his interest in a "tract of land formerly owned by William Reynolds in the County of Randolph and State of N. Carolina adjoining Wenlock Reynolds land sixty acres". The deed was recorded August Term 1835 Course of Pleas and Greater Session , Randolph Co, NC.
This is probably the land willed to William by his father Jeremiah. Wenlock was William's youngest borther and he was to receive 90 acres adjacent to the land that William inherited.
On 13 Dec 1850, Jesse Reynolds and his wife Welmot give power and authority to William Chamness of Randolph Co, NC to sell land which they have in Randolph Co, NC. Jesse Reynolds signs the document and Welmot makes her mark - which agrees with the 1850 census that he can read & write while she cannot.
Note William CHANNESS is probably a relative of Jesse's grand mother Susanna CHAMNESS wife of Jeremiah REYNOLDS

On 24 Mar 1857, Abel Reynolds signs a receipt for payment of $12 from Nathan Reynolds, Administrator of the Estate of Jesse Reynolds, dec.
Be it be known that I Jessee Reynolds of Crawford County and State of Illinois do make and ordain this my last will as follows,
First, I give to my son Thomas Ellwood Reynolds one three year old mare call'd Fan, also one feather bed & furniture including stead.
Second, to my son Abel twenty five dollars.
Third, the balance of my property I wish to be sold and after paying my just debts to be divided as follows,
To Polly Ogden, the one sixth part
To Amy Spivey, the one sixth part
To Rachel Mattocks, the one sixth part
To Esabeth Cox (wife of Jackson Cox) one sixth part
To Hannah Cox (wife of Calvin Cox) one sixth part
To the heirs of my daughter Ruth Dix the one sixth part
Lastly I constitute Nathan Reynolds executor to this my last will and testimony I have here unto set my hand and seal this 10 of March 1855.
