PROVO--Mrs. Sarah Alice Curtis, 32, widow of William F. Curtis, died at the family residence, 219 north Fifth East street, Friday night, following a heart attack. Mrs. Curtis was born January 4, 1852, at Manti, a daughter of Nelson and Sarah Blackman Higgins. She moved to Salem with her parents when a small child and came to Provo in 1909. Mrs. Curtis was active in L. D. S. Church work. She was married to Mr. Curtis December 24, 1873, at Richfield. He died here in 1928.
Surviving are one son and five daughters, William C. Curtis, Ucon, Idaho; Mrs. Nettie Billings, Mrs. Lula Norman, Mrs. Ivie Guyman, Provo; Mrs. Della Gray, Salt Lake; Mrs. Zilla Jacobsen, Park City; 26 grandchildren. 22 great-grandchildren and three half brothers, Louis, Jodie and William Higgins of Elsinore.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Salem L. D. S. ward chapel, with burial in Salem City.
