Robert Ellwood was born 5 August 1911 in Port Huron, St. Clare, Michigan and married 1935 in Michigan, Olive FRANCISCO, the daughter of James E FRANCISCO and Estella CHARON. She was born 1909 in Forest Twp., Missaukee, Michigan and died June 1960, in Tucson, Pima, Arizona. Robert died 30 July 1958 in Tucson, Pima, Arizona.

Robert Elwood McCOOK gradusted from High School in 1928. He went to college in Houghton Michigan, at the College of Mines for most of two years, in 1932-1933. He ran out of money in March and came home. He went to work on an extra gang on the railroad and later on a road job near Flint. Then he went to work at the State Sanitorium where he met Olive FRANCISCO in February of 1934. She ran the phone exchange on the hill. They were married the next January. (She was born in 1910 at Forest Twp., Missaukee, Michigan, the daughter of James E. FRANCISCO and Estella CHARON, James W. married her sister Vera)
Rob and Olive bought a trailer and went to Arizona with James W and Vera in 1948.
Rob and Olive lived about a year in the trailer park. At that time he sold his trailer to Mc CORMIC and moved into one of the houses we had built on some lots that Vera and James W had bought near Fort Lowell and Park Avenue, at 1037 circle Drive. Rob hated the trailer.
Robert A., Rob, and James W. built two huses on Circle Drive, with help. They sold one house after a year. Vera and James W never got any money for the two lots, but James W. learned the carpenter trade there from Simeon (Pop) WARNER. Louie and Ernie WARNER were laying block for them at that time. We also had Art SMITH and Vern CASSIDAY helping us. James W. dosen't know how Robert A. came out, but Rob got started as a contractor. James W. worked for him for ten years until he died 30 July 1958. He had a fatel heart attack at 46. Olive died two years later in June of 1960 in Tucson, Pima, Arizona.
