John Hannah was born 27 December 1917 in South Lyon, Oakland, Michigan, and married 14 December 1954, in Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine, Patricia BOLDUC the daughter of Norbert BOLDUC1 and Annie BOLDUC2. She was born in 1930 in Auburn, Androscoggin, Maine and died. John died 29 Jul 1991 in New Hope, Bucks, Pennsylvania.
At age 2 in 1919 John Hannah McCOOK with his parents moved to Decatur, Van Buren, Michigan, and later they moved to Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan. While in Kalamazoo He attended Western Michigan University from which he graduated in 1940 with a B.S. degree in Education. While at Western he participated in several sports. He played third base on one of Western's most noted teams in 1940.
After graduation he taught at Newaygo, Michigan from 1940 to 1941. When we went to War he enlisted in the Navy and was in the Coast Guard. He also attended the Columbia Law School at this time.
When he got out of the service he started teaching and coaching at the Dalton School, New York City, 08 East 89th Street New York, N.Y. 10028 from 1944 to 1958.
While here he met and married Patricia BOLDUC on 14 Dec 1954.
He also Owned & Directed Camp Tacoma Pines in Litchfield, Maine from 1948 to 1964.
In 1959 he started teaching and coaching at Scotch Plains, - Fanwood Public Schools, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and his address was 73 Watson Road Fanwood, New Jersey. In 1964 he was on the New Jersey Association of High School Councils participating on the Advisory Committee Representing Student Council Advisors from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. He quit this job to become the director of the Summerbrook Camp in 1966. He directed the camp until 1968. When he became the Athletic Director for the Storm King Prep School in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York.
He quit this position so that he could get back into the public school system and work on his retirement. He took a job as Athletic Director of the Public Schools in North Hanover Township Burlington County P.O. Box 16015, McGuire A.F.B., New Jersey 08641 in 1971. He retired from this job in 1980 taking on the position of Coach and Athletic Director of Stevens Institute of Technology in Castle Point Station, Hoboken, New Jersey 07030. He left this position to teach at St. Raphael School 151 Gropp Avenue Trenton, New Jersey 08610 in 1985. He worked here for two more years retiring permanently in 1987.
He died at his home in New Hope, Bucks, Pennsylvania 29 July 1991 of an hart attack.
