" Nicholas Snow was made freeman at Eastham 3 June 1690. He moved from Eastham to Harwich ca. 1692 and then to Rochester ca. 1720.
Joseph Burge of Yarmouth, weaver, conveyed land in Rochester "which I hold in partnership with Nicholas Snow" to Nicholas Snow of Eastham, yeoman, by deed of 16 Aug. 1725.
Nicholas, then of Rochester, conveyed these premises to John Winslow by deed of 17 March 1738, the witnesses being Phebe Snow and Ebenezer Meigs. Nicholas Snow was mentioned in the will of his brother Prence, dated 12 Jan. 1740.
By deed of 7 Oct. 1742 Nicholas Snow of Rochester conveyed 34 acres there to Jonathan Snow of Rochester, yeoman."
WILL: Austin (1992) p40: "The will of Nichoals Snow of Rochester, yeoman, "of advanced age," was made 25 June 1751 and proved 17 July 1754.

Thankful Burge, and dau. Sarah Hammond. He left one shilling to son Prence for "his leaving me and his family as he did."

Marriage recorded at both Harwich and Eastham
Military service: Lieutenant
Will dated 25 June 1751
Will probated 17 July 1754,
Note:
On 20 June 1705 "Nicholas Snow & Lydia his wife of Eastham in County of Barnstable" signed deeds, recorded in Plymouth County, conveying and quitclaiming property in Lahenham to Lydia's brothers, Jonathan and Benoni Shaw. The deed to Benoni was acknowledged on 8 December 1714 in Barnstable County by "Lydia Snow Wife of Nicholas Show...of Eastham." Because Barnstable County land records were destroyed in the Courthouse fire of 22 October 1827, this deed, recorded in Plymouth County, is one of the few surviving early deeds associated with residents of Cape Cod.
In mid-winter of 1724/5, on 28 January, "Nicholas Snow of Eastham...Yeoman & Joseph Burge junr of Yarmouth...Weaver" purchased for £750 the 260 acre homestead farm of Stephen Andrews, yeoman of Rochester. By 16 August 1725 Joseph Burgess, Jr. had sold to Nicholas Snow of Eastham for £187 his portion of the property" which I hold in Partnership with the sd Nicholas Snow." This transaction produced an enormous debt for Nicholas that within a few years proved insupportable. In December 1729 John Watson, a merchant of the town of Plymouth, sued Nicholas Snow in the Plymouth County Court of Common Pleas for £325 on the bond dated 28 January 1724/5; the defendant, Snow, defaulted. The judgment was for £119 17s 7d and £1 19s in costs, and Nicholas Snow was imprisoned. In the words of Deputy Sheriff Josiah Sturtevant, "I Took the Body of the Said Nicholas Snow and have Committed him to his Majestys Goal in Plymouth." Debts continued to plague Nicholas and in December 1740 he defaulted again for £160 on a bond dated 8 July 1736.
On 16 April 1742 Nicholas Snow of Rochester, yeoman, sold thirty acres " in Rochester aforesd adjoyning to my Homestead" for £120 to "my Son Nathaniel Snow of Rochester," yeoman. On 1 February 1744 his "Son Nathaniel Snow of Rochester...Labourer" again purchased land from his father, on this occasion twenty acres for £60 adjacent to the land he had bought earlier from his father, and finally on 1 February 1747 Nathaniel purchased from his father thirteen more acres of adjoining property for £52. Nicholas Snow also sold property in October and November 1742 at Rochester to Jonathan Snow, presumably his son, and to Isaac Snow.
In his will, dated 25 June 1751 and proved 17 July 1754 in Plymouth County, "Nicholas Snow of Rochester...Yeoman" made bequests as follows:
"...to eldest son Jonathan Snow, son Nath[aniel] Snow...the children of my son Joshua Snow Deceased...children of my son Prience Snow...daughter Thankfull Burge, daughter Sarah Hammond, granddaughter Phebe Bourge an infant, and Daughter of my Daughter Phebe Bourge Deceased...to son Prince Snow one shilling..."And the Reason I give him no more is his leaving me and his Family as he did." [The bulk of the estate to be divided into eight equal parts, with eldest son Jonathan receiving two parts. Two Beloved Sons...Jonathan Snow and Nathaniel Snow to be joint executors [the grant of administration on 17 July 1754 names them as residents of Rochester.]"
The will was signed and sealed by Nicholas Snow, witnessed by Samuel Rider, Mary Holmes, and Noah Sprague. Inventory of the estate of "Levt [Lieutenant] Nicholas Snow" was taken on 29 May 1754 by Noah Sprague, Edward Doty and Josiah Holmes, and totaled £218 17s 8d."
